I LOVE NARS!

A few weeks ago I went to Nars for the first time... and I ended up spending A LOT of money, whoops.
After trying out everything I bought I can safely say that I don't regret spending all that money: NARS is my new favourite makeup brand!
All of the items that I bought are long lasting and gentle on the face, whilst also giving flawless results, so if you're looking for good quality makeup, this is the one!

NARS Multi-Protect Primer: This primer has a creamy texture, which works a lot better on my dry skin than silicon based primers.
For a while I used the Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating primer, but I don't think it ever helped my makeup to stay on for very long. As soon as I started using the NARS primer I could tell that it made a difference, because not only does my foundation stay on for almost the whole day, but it also looks much nicer on the skin.
I have tried this product with various foundations and it seems to work very well regardless of which one I use.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Ceylan: The primer does seem to work best with this foundation- Together they are perfect.
I apply this foundation with a flat foundation brush, a Beauty Blender, or even my fingertips sometimes! Its texture is very creamy and quite light, but still thick enough to give you a great medium to high coverage. It manages to hide the redness on my face and it honestly stays on all day (however, I'm pretty sure that the primer has a lot to do with it).
The only negative thing I have to say is that I find this shade a little bit too yellow for my liking, but other than that, it's fab!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly: I'd heard some great reviews about this product; it was actually the main thing that drew me to NARS.
I went for the lightest shade not because I am really pale, but because this shade is actually lighter than my skin colour, making it great to add brightness to my face.
I always use this concealer under my eyes, but I sometimes also use it as a highlighter by applying it on my cheekbones and on my forehead.
The trouble with this shade being so light is that, if you over-apply it, you can end up looking like a ghost... yes, that has happened to me. I am now extra careful and only use tiny amounts at a time.

NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder:
I am obsessed with this product! It does everything from making your makeup stay in place to adding natural brightness to your face.
I apply it with the same brush as I use for my concealer (in my case the Real Techniques setting brush). I dab it on my cheeks, nose and under-eye area: this is a great way to stop your eyeliner from smudging!
I then use a powder brush to apply a small amount to the rest of my face.
The results are amazing, and if you're not a fan of loose powders, you can also get it as a pressed powder.

If you have any questions or would like any tips on how to apply these products, just leave a comment :)

    1. Yes, Nars is fab! You totally should buy a few more of their products, I'm sure you'll love them :)
Which item do you own? I think my next purchase is going to be their Kabuki brush for contouring xo

  2. I love the concealer and actually most NARS products - but I spent quite a bit of money on that loose powder (as I'm sure you did) and I was really disappointed. It brightens and keeps my makeup in place...as you would expect, but having a photo taken with the flash with this product on left my under eyes glowing white. It looked terrible in flash photos! So I was a bit sad about that! Great blog though! xxx

And I know what you mean! That has happened to me a few times, but I wasn't sure if it was the powder or the concealer! :( xx
