Red is a colour that some people don't feel very comfortable wearing. They think it's too bright or too bold, and therefore prefer a more subtle shade. Personally, red lipsticks are my absolute favourites!
So whether you are a red aficionado like myself, or you are unsure of how to pull off a red lip, I have chosen my top three shades to help you find the perfect colour!
Chanel Rouge Coco in 31 Cambon: This is an 'everyday' red. It has pink undertones, which make it a lot less intimidating if you're new to red lipsticks, and also make it perfect to wear with any day-time outfit.
As is expected from Chanel, the quality of this product is great: it's long-lasting and very moisturising. It feels very soft on the lips, which is something that I always look out for when choosing my next lipstick, and it's also really pigmented.
Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy in 340 Envious: A very classic red. This is such a flattering shade, perfect to wear on nights out and to special events, due to the intensity of its colour.
I'll admit that sometimes it can be too much for during the day but, if you're feeling brave, it's still an amazing colour to wear with anything!
This is the first Estee Lauder lipstick that I have ever tried, and I am truly impressed with its quality.
From the richness of the colour to the way it stays on for hours, it's fair to say that Estee Lauder has become one of my favourite brands for lipsticks!
Also, a super fun thing about this lipstick is that its packaging is magnetic, meaning that the lid slides on automatically, and therefore it's highly amusing.
Rimmel Kate lipstick in 01: This is my all time favourite drugstore lipstick. It's a bit darker than the other two shades mentioned in this post, so I prefer to wear it on a night and during the Autumn/Winter season (which means it's time for me to start wearing it again!)
Kate Moss for Rimmel are by far the best drugstore lipsticks in my opinion; they stay on for hours and the range of colours is amazing.
This one in particular is only £5.49, which is an absolutely crazy bargain.
